Cowgirls' Night Out
Experience horse relationship activities, enjoy a quiet trail walk while leading your horse, relax around the campfire with friends, and share horse tales.
Equine Facilitated Horse Therapy
This workshop is designed to be an experiential training for mental health, educators, equine specialists, or other horse therapy enthusiasts.
You will learn techniques that emphasize the use of relationship
building, communication, trust, mindfulness, and emotional
well-being. You will participate in activities and review curriculum
ideas for specific target groups, i.e. eating disorders,
post-traumatic stress, and youth at risk.
Most importantly, you will experience the healing power of the horse-human connection

All programs require certified staff and volunteer support. Volunteers are required to fill out an application and attend a training session.
You are making a difference in the lives of others. As a volunteer in activities at the Flying Horse Stable you will gain more than skills and knowledge, you will be immersed in an experience.
Volunteers need to be 19 years of age or older.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Help horses change lives.
- Gain knowledge about horses and the horse/human connection
- Help children and adults gain confidence and self-esteem.
- Form partnerships and friendships with animals and people.
- Coach others in learning how to lead, groom, and ride horses.
- Participate in the overall care of the horses and farm grounds.
What makes a good volunteer?
- Be loyal and committed.
- Understand your job.
- Offer suggestions and ideas.
- Arrive on time.
- Know the schedule.
- Give advance notice of absence.
- Respect confidentiality.
- Know the needs of the individuals.
- Work as a team member.

Individuals interested in doing an internship must:
- Have past experience with and/or knowledge of horses.
- Be enrolled in a university program pursuing a degree in an area of mental health or education.
- Submit an application with resume, course and hours requirements, semester dates and advisor contact information.

Individual one-hour EFMH session: $65.00/hour
Group (2 to 4 individuals) session: $45.00/person/hour
Training Workshops: $100.00 - $150.00/day
Certification Training: $65.00/hour
