Wellness Workshop - registration form

Exercise the body, calm the mind, nurture the soul.

Think out of the box. This workshop is designed to move you from where you are to something greater than yourself. Through the horse-human connection, you will experience a physical rhythm and balance, relationship building, communication and relaxation, at a whole different level. Surrounded in nature, this experience will fill you with inner strength and wisdom.

Equine Facilitated Horse Therapy - registration form

Saturday August 20, 2011  1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. $90.00

An experiential workshop for mental health, educators, equine specialists, or other horse therapy enthusiasts.

You will learn techniques that emphasize the use of relationship building, communication, trust, mindfulness and emotional well-being. You will participate in activities and review curriculum ideas for specific target groups, e.g. eating disorders, post traumatic stress, and youth at risk.

Most importantly, you will experience the healing power of the horse-human connection.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Training for Equine Facilitated Activities and Mental Health Programs - registration form

Saturday Sept. 7, 2011 5:30 - 7:30 pm

5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.: Training for new volunteers
6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.: Orientation for all new and returning volunteers

Learn about the EFMH program. Get trained in EFMH methods and approaches. Meet the instructors - both human and horse.

All programs require certified staff and volunteer support. Volunteers are required to fill out an application and attend a training session.
